Why is Spiro State Bank changing its name to SSB Bank?

We’re evolving with our communities! The new name, SSB Bank, reflects our growth beyond Spiro and Talihina, and proudly includes our new location in Tulsa, OK. While our name and branding are getting a modern update, our values, team, and commitment to our customers remain the same.

Is my account still with the same bank?

Yes. This is simply a name change. You’re still banking with the same trusted institution that’s been serving Oklahoma since 1913.

What management changes have been made?

In 2024, Spiro State Bank was purchased by Prairie Bell Holdings, Inc. Mark Richey (Chairman and CEO), along with Justin Lee (Executive Vice-President and CLO) joined the SSB Team to advance Spiro State Bank to the next chapter of growth and expansion. SSB Bank remains independently owned and operated.

Locations and Services

Are your current locations changing?

No. All existing branches in Spiro and Talihina will remain open, and we’re excited to announce our new branch in Tulsa, Oklahoma at 91st  and Yale Avenue. All locations will receive visual upgrades in the coming months, but operations will continue as normal, as we bring additional banking technology features online for our customers.

Will my branch hours or services change?

No changes to hours or services are planned. Your day-to-day banking will continue as usual.

Accounts and Access

Will my account number change?

No. All account numbers will stay the same.

Do I need to order new checks?

No. Your current checks will continue to work. You may reorder checks as needed, using the same account information.

Will the bank's routing number change?

No. Our routing number remains the same.

Do I need to update my direct deposit or bill pay?

No. All direct deposits, automatic payments, and scheduled transfers will continue to process as normal.

Online & Mobile Banking

Will online and mobile banking change?

Yes. We are upgrading the online banking system in to include several new convenience features. Customers will need to click the log in button on our website to enter their account details to be enrolled. For assistance, or questions, please contact your local SSB Bank branch for more information.

Will I need to download a new app?

You may need to update your existing app when prompted to see the new branding and available online banking features.

Debit & Credit Cards

Will I receive a new debit or credit card?

No. Your current cards will continue to work. New cards with updated branding will be issued only upon expiration or if you request a replacement.

Do I need to update where I make my card payments?

No. Continue to make payments the same way you always have.

Loans and Mortgages

Will my existing loan terms change?

No. Your current loan terms, rates, and repayment schedule will remain unchanged.

Who do I make loan payments to?

You may continue writing checks to Spiro State Bank or SSB Bank – both will be accepted.

Do I need to update my mortgage or PPP loan info?

No. Your mortgage or PPP loan remains under the same terms and servicing as before.

Security & Insurance

Is my money still safe?

Yes. SSB Bank remains a FDIC-insured institution. Your deposits are protected up to $250,000 per depositor, per insured bank.

What does this change mean for our communities?

Our new name reflects our growing footprint, but our roots remain deep in Oklahoma. We are still your local community bank with more than one hundred years of experience and trust – now with expanded services, improved technology, and a new Tulsa location.
